Wife, mother Sandra D'Auriol was woman who jumped in Beverly Hills.  She most likely suffered a reaction to the anesthesia. Very sad.

Police have finally identified the woman who jumped to her death last week in Beverly Hills after having a face lift. Her name was Sandra D’Auriol. She was a mother and married to a well-known artist. The couple lived and worked in Hong Kong. D’Auriol was known for making one-of-a-kind jewelry. She was active in several charities and often donated profits from her business to causes that benefited women, children and the environment.

A rare post-operation complication known as ‘emergence delirium’ can result in a state of heightened emotion or excitement in the hours or days after anaesthesia and affects around five per  cent of patients.  Sufferers may also experience temporary ‘psychomotor agitation’ – restless movements that stem from mental tension – including pacing around a room, removing clothing and, in some extreme cases, self-harming and suicide.

She was British and married with two children. The jeweller was born in India to British parents and grew up in Singapore and Ibiza. Her French husband Yan D’Auriol, a former L’Oreal executive, runs a cosmetics business from Hong Kong. Their son Teo drowned in a pool in Bali at the age of 12.

Beverly Hills police are investigating Dr. Brian Novack for possible criminal activity in regard to this case.
