John Mackey, Whole Foods Market, Global Animal Partnership
John Mackey CEO of Whole Foods Markets started Global Animal Partnership to improve conditions for animals sold for food. Let's face it, people won't stop eating meat tomorrow. The animals should receive better treatment in the meantime. I support their efforts even though I don't eat animals.

I see animal rights activists saying we should boycott and protest Whole Foods because they want to treat animals better than other stores? They've always sold meat. Do the activists want Whole Foods to go back to the more inhumane ways of treating animals for food? They legally don't have to treat animals better. This makes no sense to me. Below is a link to Whole Foods Market's page about their treatment of animals used for food.

UPDATE: I just realized this program was rolled out in markets in 2011 though it started in 2010. Why are people only complaining now? Just because someone posted the above pic on Facebook? I would prefer if they got rid of the term "animal compassion" and wrote something else.
