Happy Cinco de Mayo! This is basically an American holiday, not Mexican. It commemorates the Mexicans winning a battle against the French in Puebla in 1862. It began as a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage in California. In the 1980's it was marketed by beer, tequila and Mexican food companies and is now celebrated across the US. Felicidades!
