Elizabeth has cerebellar hypoplasia. This is caused by the cerebellum not being fully mature at birth. The cerebellum controls fine motor skills and balance. For this reason Elizabeth walks like a drunken sailor. This is why these cats are affectionately called "wobbly cats." Elizabeth is not in any pain. She enjoys eating, playing and napping with her friends. When she wants to lay down she just sort of keels over onto the rug.

Mary Cummins of Animal Advocates is a wildlife rehabilitator licensed by the California Department of Fish and Game and the USDA. Mary Cummins is also a licensed real estate appraiser in Los Angeles, California.
