I highly recommend Dr. Bruce Levine if you need a bird, reptile or exotic vet in Los Angeles. From his resume.
Dr. Levine is a Board Certified Diplomate, American Board of Practitioners, in Avian, Exotic Companion Mammal, and Companion Animal. He is currently the only veterinary boarded in exotic mammals in the state of California.
Originally from New Jersey, he graduated from the University of Illinois in 1977. That same year he moved to snow-free Southern California and has stayed there ever since.
Before joining the staff at Center-Sinai Animal Hospital, he served as a veterinarian at the North Orange County Regional Occupational Program, Orange County Zoo, and as an associate veterinarian at the Honolulu Zoo. He has worked as an avian and exotic animal specialist for over 35 years in Orange County.
Dr. Levine has been a consultant to various wildlife rehabilitation projects, veterinary laboratories and the Biology division of the Chambers group. He also lectures to various national veterinary organizations and local lay groups on the subject of avian and exotic animal medicine.
On a personal level, his hobbies include bicycling, writing science fiction semiprofessionally, cooking, and working on Lions Club International projects.
Dr. Levine and his wife Joan live in Huntington Beach where they serve as minions to their pets.
